C.P. Vietnam exports first processed chicken shipment to RoK

C.P. Vietnam on August 25 announced its first processed chicken shipment to the Republic of Korea (RoK) at a ceremony held at the CPV Food chicken farming and processing complex in Dong Nai province.

Vietnam and the RoK officially opened the market for Vietnamese processed chicken on April 22, 2026. C.P. Vietnam became the first company to meet the requirements for exports to the Korean market.

The company spent more than five years preparing for the move and completed an eight-step assessment by Korean authorities, including stringent requirements on animal and plant quarantine and food safety.

The shipment, the first of its kind from Vietnam to the RoK, marks a new milestone for the country’s poultry industry, demonstrating its growing ability to meet the standards of demanding international markets.

With RoK added, C.P. Vietnam’s processed chicken products are now available in eight overseas markets, including Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong (China) and Russia. The company plans to further invest in technology and advanced processing to increase product value and strengthen its participation in global food supply chains.

C.P. Vietnam, a subsidiary of C.P. Group, has operated in Vietnam since 1993. It runs an integrated Feed-Farm-Food model and currently operates 12 animal feed plants, two pork slaughtering and processing facilities, six food processing plants and a network of farms nationwide.
